Leanne Atwater received her Ph.D from Claremont Graduate School in Psychology in 1985. She currently holds a position as Professor of Management and Interim Dean of Arizona State University School of Global Management and Leadership. Prior to that she served as Chair of the Management Department for the School. She has been a professor of Management under Bernard Bass at Binghamton University and has taught leadership at the U. S. Naval Academy. She worked for 10 years as a researcher for the Naval Personnel Research and Development Center in San Diego. She has published over 40 journal articles and two books on subjects related to leadership and leadership development. She is President of Atwater Management Consulting which does leadership development consulting for companies in Arizona and other areas in the U.S. She is married to David Atwater and has two daughters, both college students at ASU.
